Along with Cisse's six scores on his first game, Stephen Ireland has scored 8 in three games for Wythenshawe, while Boyd scored five on his debut appearance and Joleon Lescott, a defender by position, scored a triple in one game up front.

Paul Barrow, 38, who plays on the wing for the opposition, came up against ex- Latics full-back Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his young boy who Emile Heskey was.

"It was going round like wildfire they had all these former top-flight stars," said Barrow.

"I felt I was a little starstruck playing against him to be honest.

"Even Emile [Heskey] got on and he's has 60-odd England appearances.

"We held our own for a good 20 mins but then we had a man dismissed and it was tough.

"We really have not stopped talking about it - I was phoning my mother and sibling on the journey home.

"They were all dead sound, shaking our hands after the game - it was like facing a bunch of normal fellas.

"Now we can't wait for the second fixture."
